Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist

Dr. Wood has been a resident of Northwest Florida since 1991. He is originally from South Carolina but moved to the area after completing his periodontal residency. He graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Microbiology, and then graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with his dental degree. While in dental school, he met his future wife Lee Rigdon, a native of Pensacola. After dental school, they moved to Oklahoma where Dr. Wood graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Physiology. Following residency, Dr. Wood and Lee moved to the Pensacola area to practice full-time as a Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist.

Dr. Wood has continued to establish himself in the field of periodontics. He became board certified with the American Board of Periodontology in 1996. He is a state of Florida Dental Board examiner and Periodontal legal expert. He has served as president of the local dental society and advisor to the PJC hygiene program.
